Victorian terraced houses on Alexandra Road, East Twickenham TW1

Alexandra Road runs between Cambridge Park and Morley Road in East Twickenham. The road is shorter and narrower than most in the surrounding area which creates an intimate atmosphere and close neighbourhood feel.

All the houses have decent sized rear gardens and pretty front gardens with well tended bushes, blossom and lilac trees. The majority are three bedroom Victorian terraced houses popular with families and down-sizers alike. Most have been extended into the loft to create an extra bedroom and a couple have been converted into flats. There are also a few semi-detached houses and one detached property at the end.

Local Knowledge & Neighbourhood Haunts:

Close to Richmond Bridge and central Richmond, Alexandra Road is also on the doorstep of the parade of shops, cafes and restaurants on Richmond Road. It is equally well placed for St Margarets station and the collection of independent shops and eateries on Crown Road including Holly & Co, Sunshine & Ravioli, Gaia Wholefoods and the brilliant Vintage & Velvet.

For sports enthusiasts there’s Marble Hill Park with acres of open space, cricket nets, football and rugby pitches. For tennis fans, four newly refurbished courts run by “Sheen Parks Tennis” is by the bridge. Or if you fancy a game of bridge or bowls look no further than Cambridge Park Bowls Club and Richmond Bridge Club (No.1 club in the country for the past nine years) at the end of the road. For culture lovers there’s the newly renovated Turner’s House and Museum on Sandycombe Road and Marble Hill House & Gallery in the park. From the tow path you can walk all the way to York House Gardens which hosts open-air theatre productions or take the ferry over the Thames to Ham House & Gardens.

For families, two excellent children’s playgrounds are within a five minute walk in Cambridge Gardens by the bridge and by the river on the far side of Marble Hill Park. Plus the One O’clock Club and classic adventure playground in Marble Hill Park. Ofsted rated outstanding co-ed Orleans Park Senior School and St Marys Primary School are also within a five minute stroll just passed Marble Hill Park. Alexandra Road will also be in the guaranteed catchment for Deer Park School due to be relocated to its new premises on Richmond Road later this year. Already rated Outstanding by Ofsted, this popular school will certainly increase the house prices.

Average House Price: £1,140,000.00 (June 2020)

What The Neighbours Say:

“A lovely hidden street moments from the river and Marble Hill Park with outstanding schools on the doorstep. Quirky, red brick Victorian houses with great, friendly neighbours.” Helene

TESTIMONIALS

“We recently purchased our first home. Since we had no prior experience with buying a property, we decided to hire a buying agent. After reading many excellent reviews, we chose to work with N&N. To be honest, I was initially skeptical about trusting reviews like these, but N&N turned out to be exactly as reliable as everyone had described. I am not fluent in English, yet they provided incredibly personalised support and were very attentive. They patiently answered all of my many questions and were impressively quick to respond, which helped resolve my worries almost immediately. As we were nearing the exchange, a family member fell ill, and I was on the verge of giving up on the purchase. I couldn’t leave the house due to caregiving responsibilities, but Nikki personally came to our home to collect the documents, signed as a witness, and delivered everything to the solicitor. Thanks to her efforts, we were able to successfully complete the purchase. I truly cannot thank her enough. In the future, if we decide to sell this flat and purchase another property, I will undoubtedly work with N&N again”
